Present simple passive exercises 1 - 4

Examples:

    The lions ___ at the zoo every day, as far as I know.
  3. The Spanish language ___ in most secondary schools in the United Kingdom. (teaches, is taught)

Present continuous passive exercises 1 - 4

Examples:

  1. Look at that! A new supermarket ___ at the end of Station Road. (build)
  2. I am afraid that somebody else is using my laptop.
    I am afraid that my laptop ___ by somebody else.
  3. The US Open finals ___ in Flushing Meadows today. (is being played, are being played)
  4. A: The entrance hall at the railway station is closed.

Examples:

  1. Two hundred years ago people in Britain were more or less the same, but their everyday lives were quite different. Lamps and candles ___ for light in houses and streets, because there was no electricity. (use)
  2. They didn't clean the bird cages in the parrot pavilion for a week.

Examples:

Examples:
